Swedish Massage II In the second semester, students will further their skills in massage techniques. Swedish massage is presented from a clinical perspective in this course. Emphasis is placed on an understanding of physiological processes as they relate to massage and specific conditions. The course includes discussions of client evaluation and treatment applications for circulatory, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and other soft tissue conditions. Mechanisms of pain and techniques for pain relief will be explored. Also presented is additional training in theory and practice of hydrotherapy
