The principles of sports massage are presented in this course. Students will learn basic sports massage techniques, pre-event applications of massage as well as post-event. Students will also become competent in mobilization and soothing techniques, contraindications, how to treat common sports injuries, and how to best utilize cryotherapy and other rehabilitation techniques. The instructor utilizes a variety of teaching techniques and "hands on" experience as a major vehicle for learning.
